MCC RAMADHAN DELIVERY 2026

Program: Connecting Neighbors. Sustaining Community. Earning Rizq.

We are excited to announce the launch of our newly approved Ramadan Food Delivery program! Designed for sustainability and long-term impact, this initiative ensures that even as the days grow shorter and winter approaches in the coming years, our community remains connected and nourished.

Our Mission
In these challenging economic times, many of our neighbors are feeling the weight of an “undeclared recession.” This program is a Muslim-run effort to bridge the gap, allowing volunteers to give back their time and efforts while ensuring no family goes hungry this Ramadan.

How the Program Works
1. Weekly Fresh Food Packs (Every Sunday) To ensure families receive food that is culturally familiar and nutritious, we are partnering with local grocers to provide:

Customized Menus: Food tailored to ethnic backgrounds (Afghan, Arab, Burmese, etc.).

Full Staples: A week’s worth of fresh meat, vegetables, fruit, and shelf-stable goods.

Volunteer Impact: Volunteers will assist with packing at local grocers and handle deliveries to 30+ families weekly across North Chicagoland.

1. 30 *5 weeks : 150 families > 1000 people
2. last 10 nights: 30 families a night = 2,100 people served

2. The “Last Hoorah” Nightly Meals Since this is the final year before Maghrib becomes significantly earlier due to the winter cycle, we are honoring our tradition one last time:

The Last 10 Nights: An additional set of families will receive nightly prepared meals.

The Future: This year serves as a transition into our new sustainable Sunday delivery model for future winters.
